Y. was born in Baku, Rumania, into a rich family.

For several years he worked as a bookkeeper in Pepper's lumber factory.

He knew a little how to perform harmony and as a amateur musician he was allowed to the folksinger and with him, especially with Jacob Yona Tsimbler [Dimant], he traveled across Rumania.

In 1906 he immigrated to America, and he acted in Pittsburgh in Kretshmes.

In 1910 Y. passed away in Pittsburgh.
