T. was born in March 1886 in Warsaw, Poland. His parents were buyers. He completed a city school. He sang with a cantor.

In 1904 he immigrated to America, where he worked for three months in a shop and in 1905 became a coupletist in Yiddish vaudeville, performing for six years in sketches with Kadie Kaplan.

Since 1913 he entered into the legitimate Yiddish theatre and had the opportunity to act with the prominent powers of the Yiddish stage in America. During the latest season he has acted in character roles in Brooklyn's Lyric Theatre, and since 1930 has withdrawn from the stage, becoming an operator in a movie (house).
