Rose Pivar
 

P. was born in New York, America.

Her parents were vest makers.

She finished grammar and high school and studied for two years in St. Johns University in New York.

After working in various activities, in September 1921 she became an office secretary in the Yiddish Actors Union in New York, where she has been engaged in that position until today.

P. is not only the office secretary, but also often the "private lawyer" for the Yiddish actors and actresses.

She has compiled the "booklet lists" for the members of the Actors Union, directing with the library and the union for the time of her existence, and their many acts of assistance in the technical work and business correspondences of the "Lexicon of Yiddish Theatre".
