Sh. (Yeshaya) Miller


M. was born in November 1895 in the village Filipovitsh, near Zvihil, Volin.

Until the age of eight he was educated in the village Dibrivka, then he learned in the Zhihiler yeshiva. From age thirteen he became an extern, and at age eighteen he immigrated to America.

Since 1917 he published stories in American-Yiddish periodic editions and also published several books.

M. translated "Di oyfvakhung fun frihling (A children's tragedy by Frank Vedekind. Yiddish by S. Miller" [published in "Fa'Sh", N. Y., 5 May--14 July 1917].
