Herman Mannes

 

Born on 23 April 1895 in Tukum (Tukkum), Kurland (Latvia).

His father was a ritual slaughterer.

From age thirteen he worked as an employee in private firms.

In 1919, he performed in Granovsky's Studio in Petrograd and had the opportunity to run technical workings by organizing the studio.

M. participated as an actor in all productions for M'm't from 1919 until 1923. From then he has dedicated himself to technical work in this theatre.
