M. George
(Motl Abyun; Zhorzh)
 

G. was born around 1864 in Berdichev, Ukraine.

His father was a wigmaker, and thanks to him, G. came into contact with the theatre and became a prompter. Already, however, a year later G. began to act in roles and remained as a character-comic for ten years in Fishzon's troupe, afterwards in other troupes.

From 1910-12 G. acted in Lodz's Grand Theatre (Director Zandberg), where he also was the assistant regisseur.

In 1914 he was with Bezman in Odessa and later with other troupes.

In 1919 G. passed away from gallstones in Kiev.
