Hillel Dubrovinsky

 

D. was born in 1891 in Vorontsovka, Kherson Gubernia, Ukraine.

His father was an employee.

He received a home education. As a child he participated in a Ukrainian production and then began to act in amateur circles.

In 1912 -- already as a professional he acted with Fishzon, Kompaneyets, Lipovski et al., and also in various collectives.

 From 1920 he acted in "Unzer vinkel", from 1923 with Zaslavsky, from 1925 in "Frey-kunst" (Moscow), 1929 -- in "Kunst vinkl", and 1930 -- again in "Freykunst".

D. also directed drama.
