A.A. Ben-Gur
(Aharon Hurvitsh)

He was born circa 1870 in Vilna.

Standing close to the Yiddish arbeter-bavegung (Yiddish Workers Movement), he translated brochures that were written by hand, and distributed them within Yiddish worker circles. Also he participated in I.L. Peretz's "Yom-tov bletlekh."

He also translated into Yiddish from handwritten Hebrew the Peretz Hirshbein drama, "Vayter un nonte" (publisher "Di velt," Vilna, 1906), and Hauptmann's "Veber" (publisher "Di velt," 1906).
