The Manhattan Lyceum Theatre

The Manhattan Lyceum Theatre was located at 66-68 E. 4th Street in the Bowery section of Lower Manhattan.

This building, formerly known as Turn Hall,  was the site of the first professional Yiddish theater production in the United States.

The play to be performed on Friday evening, 13 December 1901 was "Rachel, oder, geshmat oys libe [Rachel," or "Apostasy for Love."]

The Business Manager of the theatre was Joe Shaltikoff; the Artist Manager was E. Smith; The Regiser was Saskin; Miss Siegel was the Dramatist.
