The society was organized in 1904.
The memorial was erected in 1959.

 

"Dedicated to the townsfolk of Ostrover Lubelsky whose sacred resting place
and remains were desolated and desecrated by the Nazi hangmen."

"In memory of the martyrs who were slaughtered and cremated
in the gas chambers by the merciless hands of the Nazis."

"Presented in 1950 to the First Ostrover S.B.S. by Saul Rosen,
to immortalize the memory of his wife Miriam Rosen. Bond of love.
'G-d wrought each thing beautiful in its time.'"

"In memory of my revered father, mother, brothers and sisters and their beloved families."- Saul Rosen
