KOBRIN
BELARUS

Kobriner Unt. Verein
MT. JUDAH CEMETERY
Ridgewood, New York
Section 2, Block 1
The society was organized on 10 May 1890.
The memorial was erected in 1951.

"In memory of our departed brethren."

Hebrew:
"In everlasting memory the holy martyrs of Kobrin whose crowning glory was that it was an important city filled with vibrant Jewish life, a symbol of Torah and Chassidic lore in Lithuania which was famous for its scholars and righteous ones, for its Rabbis and its Chassidic Rebbes who were murdered and massacred in a tragic fashion at the hands of beasts of prey--the cursed Nazis--on the eleventh of Av and other times."
