(Moshkovitsh)

Z. was born on 20 February 1903 in Novo Radomsk, Poland.

Her father was a small businessman.

She began to learn in a school, but because the region was at war, she learned Yiddish with a tutor.

In 1920 she came to Detroit (America) to an uncle, and there she became interested in the Yiddish theatre. She became employed by a dramatic society.

In 1924 she became known to the actor Abe Zweig, with whom she married, and subsequently she followed the same path to the stage as her husband.
