Betty (Beyle) Rosenblum

R. was born circa 1861 in Iasi, Rumania. She was a friend of Frau Edelstein and Molly (wife of Sigmund) Mogulesko, and through them became excited about Yiddish theatre.

One of her important roles in the beginning of her career was the title role of Goldfaden's "Breyndele kozak".

After her marriage to actor Aaron Rosenblum, she followed the same stage path to the stage as him. Coming to America so easily to make it alone, engaged to be, she had for some years for him withdrawn from the stage.

Both of R.'s daughters Lisa (later -- Silbert) and Rivka (later -- Lash) had acted on the Yiddish stage.

On 2 October 1947 R. passed away in New York.
