1931-1969
 

Berta Litvina-Veyshof

L. was born on 28 December 1897 in Simferopol, Crimea, into a well-to-do family.

She completed a Russian folkshul.

In 1916 she entered into an "amateur" circle under the auspices of actor Grisha Epstein.

In 1917 she was in the studio with the Kharkov "Unzer vinkl" and later in the theatre itself.

In 1921 she came to Vilna where she married Yosef Veyshof. Here she acted for seven years, having by this time the opportunity to act with Esther Rachel Kaminska, Zigmunt Turkow, Julius Adler, Rudolf Zaslavsky, A. Samberg and Shlomo Kutner.

In 1927-28 she toured Poland with Baratov and Potocka, in 1928-31 with the Kadish-Khash troupe, in 1931-32 in Riga, and in 1932-33 in Bialystok.
