Vampira Leoneska

Born in Bucharest, Rumania. A Christian.

L. had acted in the local Rumanian national theatre.

In 1907 she came to America, where she performed in Rumanian, and not having great success, she began to act in Yiddish. She performed in Moliere's "Der karger (The Miser)" and in Richard Foss' play "Shuldik". Her acting on the Yiddish stage did not have to enjoy days(?).
