Esther Glickman was born in 1893 in Bialystok,
father was a carpenter.
she was two years old she and her family came to
completed public school and worked
as a milliner.
possessed a fine voice and became a member of a
chorus directed by Gabel.
happened that a prima donna got sick and G. was
asked to take
over her role. Glickman remained in that particular
role for a short while, but she abandoned it soon
after and subsequently became a character actress.
played with various troupes in and around New York
1921 she married Michaelson, and ever since then she
has performed together with her husband.
