Leah Chizhik


Born circa 1857 in Warsaw, Poland.

Her father was a stage comedian.

She traveled together with her father, and afterwards was taken into the chorus of the Yiddish theatre (Chaimovich, Boris Altman et al).

After her marriage to Kempner, she acted with him and Jacob P. Adler in London, performing as "Shulamis", "Dinah" and similar roles.

She sang....she got a blood shturts and was forced to withdraw from the stage.

Ch. can be found in an old-age home in London.
