Avraham Bulkin


B. was born on 31 October 1894 in Vilna, Polish Lithuania.

His father was a grain merchant.

Until age twelve he learned in a cheder, then in a Russian folkshul.

In 1912-15 he attended the Yiddish Teacher's Institute.

Since 1916 he has been the teacher of the Yiddish secular school in Vilna.

He has published articles, reviews, and notices about various school matters, also while known as "A. Itzhak, Avrahmele, A. B__n.

He issued a rich collection of popular folk Yiddish and general children's plays known entitled "Ruike shpiln" (1921, p. 64).
