1931-1969
 

Baruch Ass


A. was a Vilner (from Vilnius-ed.)

He worked in a print shop.

In 1927 he was director with A. Halpern and Ginzburg in the "Vilna Folks Theatre" in Vilna.

In 1928-29, he came to Warsaw to the Kaminski Theatre as a personal administrator for Rudolf Zaslavsky (Director --Lipman), afterwards becoming an administrator for the [baneyter] Vilna Troupe, when it began to act in the Kaminska Theatre.

A. later settled in Lodz, where he married, and there entered the Yiddish theatre. At the outbreak of the Second World War, he was killed there by the Germans.

Zisl Vinik, the daughter of the actor Hershkovitsh, said that A. had in the Lodz ghetto managed a shared apartment.

A. with his entire family were killed at the hands of the Nazis. The thieves were unknown.
