THE KLEIN FAMILY
Chisinau, Moldova (then Kishinev, Bessarabia)
1905
Rakhil (nee Printz) and Samuel David Klein with sons Joseph and Herman. They emigrated to Newark,
New Jersey not long after this photo was taken. In the 1920s Joseph Klein moved to Los Angeles,
where he opened a grocery store in Boyle Heights. Joseph Klein had a son and two daughters, Morris, Pearl and Miriam. Morris became a jazz musician with the stage-name Robert Morris.
