CELEBRITIES OF THE YIDDISH STAGE AND RADIO FETE A LEADING LADY
May 1946

On the eve of her departure for Paris and London, where she was invited to appear as guest artist in her repertory of Jewish plays. Dina Halpern was tendered a luncheon by the cast of "Kamf far gloiben" (Fight for the Faith), current "Forward Hour" dramatic serial in which she played the feminine lead. Above is a view at the luncheon, held at the Advertising Club of New York.

Seated, left to right, are: Luba Kadison, Frances Adler, Kadia Molodowska (poetress who wrote, "Kamf far gloiben"), Ossip Dymow (the dramatist, a contributor to the Forward), Misha German and Helena Borkowska.

Second row, left to right: Yudel Dubinsky, Moshe Strassberg, Michael Goldstein, Henry Greenfield (director of Radio Station WEVD, over which the "Forward Hour" program was broadcast every Sunday, and toastmaster of the affair), Sara Gingold, Zvi Scooler, Isadore Casher, Flora Freiman, Chaim Tauber, Charlotte Goldstein, Muriel Gruber, Wolfe Barzel and Judah Bleich.
