A Son Was Born to Me
From the Siddur of Cwi Hirsz Rozenblat
Czestochowa, Poland

Translation of Siddur cover:

"First day of Succos (Sukkot), 1878, a son was born to me, as a sign of good luck, and he is called among the children of Israel by the name Avraham Elimelech, according to the Ushpizin of the day [every one of the 8 days of Succos honors one of our patriarchs whom we symbolically invite to eat with us in the Succah (Sukkah).  The first day is Abraham’s day] and after my grandfather.  Due to the feverish sickness which afflicted him, on the second day I added the name Alter, for long life."  next
