HOLOCAUST
MEMORIALS
OF EUROPE
This exhibition is dedicated to all the shtetls, towns and cities of
Europe where once there existed vibrant Jewish communities,
and to all the blessed Jewish families whose members perished in the
Holocaust.
Each of the memorials on display here was erected in Europe
since the end of World War II. They are especially unique when
compared to those that stand in other parts of the world such as the
United States. The memorials of Europe were often built in
the areas where the actual devastation, the mass murders, took
place--in the ghettoes, at the sites where synagogues once stood,
and in the killing fields and forests.
"Holocaust Memorials of Europe" was made possible by the
generosity of all those who graciously contributed their memorial
photos to the museum for their display.
If you have other such photographs of
memorials not included in this exhibition, please send them
to
steve@museumoffamilyhistory.com, along with the
town and country where they are located, along with a short
bit of information that I can include along with the
photograph(s).
